We have many different styles of training programs, including private lessons to work on targeted behaviors and group classes, which allows your dog to perfect his skills around a variety of distractions.

MEET YOUR TRAINER
Isabella Boone, CPDT-KA, co-founded What's Up Dog back in 2019 and is excited to offer various group classes while we begin our expansion into a full training facility! Bella has a background in veterinary medicine from Texas A&M University and found her passion in dog training after training service dogs in college. Now, 7 years later, Bella is the behavior specialist for the daycare and boarding dogs at WUD and spends her free time training for and competing in a multitude of dog sports. If you're wanting help your pup with basic obedience, socialization, handler focus, and enrichment, check out our training options below!
Group classes are a great way to work your dog around a variety of distractions, leaving your dog not only with the knowledge of the class curriculum, but with real-life skills of how to focus on you around other dogs, people, and smells in a new environment. Our group classes are small, so you and your dog will still get one-on-one attention from our trainers while you work on the skills being taught.
BASIC OBEDIENCE:
Basic obedience covers sit and down with implied stays, coming when called, place, leave it, and drop it. You will also learn heel position, loose leash walking, and polite greetings. Training around other dogs in a group setting is a challenge for a lot of dogs, so you’ll also be working on your dog’s focus on you!
5-WEEK CLASS

INTERMEDIATE SKILLS:
Once you've mastered Basic Obedience, this is the next step! This class is a fusion between advanced level obedience behaviors and some fun, practical tricks that are not only cute, but practical. We build off of concepts of Basic Obedience, working around more challenging distractions and working on generalization of previously taught commands. We go into a lot of group work in this class, and even have a fun outing at the end!
4-WEEK CLASS

WE SPEAK DOG.
Private lessons are held in our playcare room Friday through Sunday with our trainer, or any day during the week at your home. Private lessons will become more readily available once our facility expands and we have more room dedicated to training!

Ready to test your dog for one of the AKC’s various performance titles? Look no further! What’s Up Dog’s certified AKC Evaluator Isabella Boone, CPDT-KA will not only test your dog, but once they pass, award them with one of What’s Up Dog’s beautiful custom rosettes. Wanting to title your dog but don’t know where to start? Look into one of our Trick Dog or Canine Good Citizen group classes!

Interested in trying out a new type of mentally-enriching exercise for your dog? Our dog powered slat mill is the perfect way to build your dog’s confidence and endurance while working their brain! You can add a slat mill session with our trainer to your daycare or boarding stay and you will receive a report card and video detailing their session.

REQUIREMENTS
For group classes, we require dogs to be up to date on their Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.
There are no age or breed requirements. We train every breed and it's never too late to learn!
