What’s Up Dog HTX was started after our dog-oriented family recognized the need for a small, personal, and tight-knit facility we could trust with our most prized possessions--- our dogs. Being a bully and rescue loving family, we found it difficult to find higher end facilities that were both affordable and that allowed our blocky-headed dogs. Enter What’s Up Dog - a culmination of all the best parts of a doggie daycare facility. With affordable prices, luxury boarding, highly trained staff, and modern, controlled daycare programs, What’s Up Dog is everything we were looking for in a daycare while still holding onto the small-business feel we all know and love.

Here at What's Up Dog, we're honest about what a dog daycare truly is— and what it should be.
Most daycares have extremely large groups that aren't beneficial for a dog's socialization and growth, which is why we strive to do things a bit differently. Managed by training-savvy dog owners with years of experience in the field, we know that playing with other dogs should be regulated, controlled, and above all, safe. We temperament test every dog that comes through our doors to ensure that they're placed in groups they'll thrive in and enjoy. Our trained technicians watch body language and calming signals closely to know when to give dogs breaks from play and to ensure your dog is enjoying themselves in our care. Small groups not only ensure safe and mutual play, but they also allow us to give detailed reports of your dog's play style, behavior, and preferences.
If your dog doesn't enjoy our Daycare or Playcare program, our technicians will be upfront and honest with your dog's needs and preferences so you can make informed decisions on their training, socialization, and care. MEET THE WHATSUPDOG TEAM
Mickey is his own small business owner, behind the founder of The Phodografur, his own pet photography business. Aside from loving all things dog, he is passionate about travel, loves to study maps, and enjoys long walks with his Dalmatian, Louie.
Isabella is a dog trainer, working dog handler, and dog-momager to the one and only Baloo the Bunny Eared Bully (@bully.baloo). When she’s not working on marketing, you can find her reading, competing in dog sports, dog training, or hiking. She is passionate about dog rescue and is a puppy foster mom in her free time.
Claudia handles the behind-the-scenes operations of What’s Up Dog with the goal of making sure everyone has the best experience when visiting. She has a huge passion for animals of all species, shapes, and sizes. She loves to travel and aims to spend as much time outdoors as possible!
